Hi, welcome to Laundry How

My name is Laura Clements, and I’m the laundry expert behind the popular blog called Laundry How. I’ve been fascinated with laundry ever since I was young – I remember experimenting with wash cycles as a teenager to see how they impacted cleaning. I guess you could say I’m a bit of an oddball when it comes to my enthusiasm for laundry!

After studying textile science in college and working in product testing for a few years, I found myself constantly being asked by family and friends for advice about stains, fabric care, detergents – you name it. It seemed I had become the go-to laundry guru in my circles. The questions kept coming, so I decided to start writing some laundry tips on social media to help more people out. The response was so overwhelmingly positive that I decided to launch my site Laundry How.

Here I take on the full laundry spectrum – from defeating stubborn stains to delicately caring for specialty fabrics. I tackle all kinds of questions on topics like laundry chemistry, machines, cycles – no topic is taboo! And I speak from both my formal training and years of hands-on laundry experience…okay, maybe I actually enjoy testing things out in my laundry room a bit too much. Hey, someone’s gotta do it!

Now in my late thirties, I’m continuing to grow the Laundry How community. I absolutely love empowering people to feel knowledgeable and confident when it comes to laundry. To me, it’s incredibly fulfilling to transform what can be a dreaded chore into an easy, maybe even pleasant weekly ritual. Laundry doesn’t have to be confusing or frustrating – with just a bit of helpful advice, I truly believe we can make friends with laundry!
